SADDLERS BOOST FOR THE WALSALL MANOR HOSPITAL
Walsall FC Chief Executive, Roy Whalley and Commercial Executive, Gemma Park were at the Walsall Manor Hospital to see for themselves the top-of-the-range ventilator that has been purchased for the Critical Care Outreach Team with money raised from the Goalden Gate Lottery.
We were set a target of raising £6,000 and that was achieved to take the total money raised for the Walsall Manor Hospital to over £10,000 during the past few years.
"It was nice to be able to go into the hospital and see the equipment that we have purchased through funds raised by the Goalden Gate Lottery actually being used," said Gemma Park. "It is important for us to raise much-needed funds for such worthwhile causes that will benefit the community and the Walsall Manor Hospital plays a key role in the lives of so many local people.
"A couple of years ago we were able to purchase a ventilator for the Baby Unit and have now been set a target to raise funds for 3 x Graseby Medical Syringe Drivers."
Sue James, Chief Executive of Walsall Hospitals Trust added: "We are most grateful to Walsall Football Club for their superb efforts. You can never have too much equipment and we have a wish list of things that we want.
"The equipment that Walsall FC has purchased for us over the past several years has been put to very good use and has already helped so many people. "We thank everyone who is involved in the Goalden Gate Lottery most sincerely."
