THE SADDLERS' first-team squad delivered some Christmas cheer earlier today as they visited the Children's Ward at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Jimmy Mullen's first-team squad handed out Christmas presents, talked to the children, signed autographs and posed for pictures.

The team visit the Manor every year and, as Clayton Ince explained, they enjoyed spending time with the children.

"Like the manager said earlier in the week it must be hard to be in hospital over Christmas," he said. "Saying that though, the were in good spirits and looking forward to Christmas even though they might not be able to celebrate it at home.

"It's unfortunate that they are not well over Christmas but they all had a smile on their faces.The hospital staff also deserve a lot of credit for their hard work and this is the least we can do."
