THE SADDLERS made our Masters debut at the NIA in Birmingham as we made a favourable first impression.

With Ron Green, the oldest player in the tournament, in superb form in goal, Dean Smith, Tony Barras and skipper, Adrian Viveash solid in defence, Andy Reece, Paul Jones and Chris Marsh, who travelled all the way back from America to play, busy in midfield and Mark Rees and Kevin Wilson ever-willing in attack, we won many friends.

There was also an excellent turnout of Walsall supporters who were termed as the noisiest at the event.
