Hello all,
It was really encouraging to receive an email from a supporter regarding last week's blog, firstly because my ramblings are an interesting enough read, and secondly it's great to receive valuable feedback.
I'm sure we are all guilty of being in a position where we are too close to something, and another person's opinion or feedback can sometimes provide just what you're looking for.
Should any of you have an idea, or want to share an observation, please don't hesitate to drop me an email at delsworth@walsallfc.co.uk.Two heads are sometimes better than one!
Even though we are still in the middle of the school holidays, we have had a busy week on enquiries, especially for weddings and Christmas party nights, and with the venue re-vamp almost over, the team are looking forward to showing off the changes.
We are going to organise a business lunch to enable us to promote the changes to some of our clients, and I'm sure we'll receive some positive feedback.
With some other local venues offering really silly deals at the moment we have to be at the top of our game regarding value for money and service.
Yes, okay, some of our customers are on a tight budget, and we try our best to accommodate their requirements, but you can't help but think if something is being offered at a vastly reduced price what's being sacrificed? Is it service, quality, quantity, something has to give, however, we do try our very best not to compromise on the important things that are crucial to delivering a successful event.
On a lighter note, the Express & Star are coming in to take some pictures of the venue on Friday to help promote the forthcoming Bridal Fayre.
A couple of our exhibitors have very kindly offered to lend us a wedding cake and some wedding dresses, we just have to get the room set out with all the normal wedding paraphernalia.
One of the team, not the football I hasten to add, has agreed to don one of the dresses and pose for the camera... Us girls love to dress up!
There is something quite special about seeing a bride and groom on the pitch for pictures during their special day.Obviously its even more special if both parties are fans, and as a treat we include their names on the scoreboard for the novelty factor.
Well I better close now as I need to have a serious word with Sophie, the youngest member of the team. She forgot to bring any sweets back from her holiday last week.
