CONFERENCE & EVENTS BLOG

Posted on: Wed 04 Aug 2010

Hello all,

As another week flies by we're all taking bets in the office as to what week the Christmas trees will actually appear in the supermarkets.

The refurbishment to The Bonser Suite is well under way; it's amazing what a difference a lick of paint makes to a room, and our matchday visitors will be pleased to see the new flat screens in situ for the next home game.

We are due to welcome our sponsors to the club this week, for a bite to eat and a chance to network with each other. This will also give us the opportunity to show them the changes being made to the club.

We are keen to make sure that we try to help our sponsors. Help us to help them, and by coming together at the club may hopefully give them a chance to do business with each other.

With technology moving so fast things can easily seem outdated in the blink of an eye, and our events website is no exception. www.M6J9.com is in desperate need of make-over, and whilst we would love to get old Laurence Llewellyn Bowen on the case, we're not sure everyone likes purple!

We are due to meet with the developers at the end of the week. We have our web stats in hand, and some ideas, so hopefully we will be able to work a bit of magic and get it looking more sexy, which is a word that covers a multitude of descriptions at the moment.

It was great to welcome The FA here last week, and what a great result for the England Ladies. With so many young football fans in the audience the atmosphere was bostin. The operations manager did say that a pair of size 11½ ladies football boots had been found in the dressing rooms after everyone had left... we have not confirmed which side they belong to yet but hey you would know about it of the owner happened to step on your toes!

Until next week TTFN...

Dianne
