SMITH ON HOME SET-BACK

Boss reflects on defeat to The Glovers...

SADDLERS' boss, Dean Smith, has reflected upon our 2-1 home reverse at the hands of Yeovil Town.

"It was disappointing," he said. "I felt that we reacted well to their opening goal and went on to score a good goal ourselves.

"We lost our way after they regained the lead and that was a disappointment to me.

"That said, there is a lot to build on here and I had six players sat in the stand who will improve us when they return from injury.

"We know that we have to be better than that, particularly in the second half. Had we continued our first half display after the break, we would have gone on to win that game.

"Maybe we need to get a bit more street-wise?

"There were positives and it was nice to see Tom Bradshaw on the mark again. He caused them problems all night and put in another lively performance.

"We face a new challenge on Saturday and now we look forward to that. It will be a tough one, that's for sure as Leyton Orient have invested heavily over the summer, but we will be doing all that we can to be able to bounce back in the right way."
