Each of last season's meetings ended in draws...

2014/15 Season

21st February 2015 – Bradford 1-1 Walsall – League One
A second-half header from Manchester City loanee Jordi Hiwula earned Walsall a point at top-six hopefuls Bradford. After a goalless opening period, the Bantams took a 51st-minute lead when Billy Clarke drilled into the bottom corner from 25 yards. But the Saddlers equalised 16 minutes from time, Jordan Cook crossing for Hiwula to head home from close range.

Chances were in short supply in this scoreless early-season encounter. Craig Westcarr’s second-half double secured the Saddlers’ first victory in 11 matches. The striker, who had not scored in exactly two months, poked home Andy Taylor’s left-wing cross to put Walsall ahead on 68 minutes. And Westcarr then sealed the points 12 minutes from time with a 20-yard strike into the top corner – his 14th goal of the season.

5th October 2013 – Walsall 0-2 Bradford – League One
Kyel Reid scored a goal of the season contender as in-form Bradford climbed up to fourth with victory at the Banks’s. Walsall, unbeaten in five heading into the match, fell behind to Reid’s spectacular 30-yard drive on the stroke of half-time. And the Bantams doubled their advantage shortly after the interval, James Hanson beating the offside trap before finishing expertly past Richard O’Donnell.

And David Wetherall equalised four minutes after the resumption to salvage a draw for Colin Todd’s mid-table side.
Saddlers team:Gilmartin, Westwood, Gerrard (Constable 81’), Fox, Roper, Wright, Leary, Devlin, Keates, James (Pead 66’), Timm (Fitzgerald 87’).

Walsall’s best effort came from Michael Standing, a former Bradford player, who saw a shot cleared off the line in the second-half.
