O'Donnell happy with wonder-save...
ONE OF the stand-out moments from Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup first round draw with Shrewsbury Town was an outstanding point-blank save from Richard O'Donnell to deny James Collins. It proved to be a crucial stop and is one that the reliable 'keeper will remember for some time to come.
"It was one of those situations where all I could do was spread myself as much as possible," he said. "It was close-range but luckily the ball hit me on the foot and I was able to recover and clear the rebound as it came back down.
"I would say that it was one of the best saves I have ever made, so I was pleased with that, but more importantly we kept going until the end to get the equaliser.
"We'd have been very disappointed not to have come away with at least a replay. It was a good game and we had the better of it overall. We kept it at to grab a late equaliser and now we look forward to attempting to finish the job off in the replay.
"Before that we have a couple of important games to focus on, starting with Wednesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Sheffield United. That is a competition that we feel we can do well in, so hopefully we can make it through to the Area semi-final.
"Then on Saturday we are back at home trying to add to our League points tally, so it is a big week for us."
