TAYLOR BURSTING WITH BELIEF

27 August 2014

Full-back predicting good things...

FULL-back, Andy Taylor, believes that good things are just around the corner as we head to Scunthorpe United on Saturday in search of our first League win of the campaign.

"We're not far off," he said without hesitation. "Our performances have deserved more, but if we keep performing the way we are, the results will start to come, I am certain of that.

"We totally believe in what we are doing and work hard at our game day in, day out. We're making chances and it's only a matter of time before they start to go in.

"The signing of Mathieu Manset has given us a boost and we're looking forward to the next game.

"We believe that every game is winnable in this League; once that first League win comes, we know that it will lead to more.

"We've suffered at the hands of injury, but what is has done is show that the young lads at this club are ready and able to come in and do a job. That said, any team would suffer if they lost the quality of the likes of Sam Mantom, Jordan Cook, James Chambers and Ben Purkiss.

"We accept that our first half performance wasn't good enough against Palace on Tuesday, but we improved after the break and now we are focussed on bringing home the points from Scunthorpe at the weekend."
