NO HOLDEN BACK

Defender ready to roll his sleeves up...

EXPERIENCED defender, Dean Holden, got an early call to action off the substitutes’ bench on Saturday when he replaced the injured James Chambers within the opening ten minutes.

“We never seemed to get a foothold in the game and be able to impose ourselves,” he admitted. “It was always going to be a tight game but it was poor defending on our behalf that gave them their opening.

“We weren’t able to do the stuff that we normally do as a team and any defeat is always disappointing and hard to take.

“There is a great challenge there for us to get back on track and start climbing the table. The only way we are going to do this is by sheer hard work; we’ve got to get out there and pick ourselves up because it’s still early days.

“We want to progress and improve as a team and we will be doing all that we can to achieve this objective.”
