Boss on Boundary Park trip...

SINCE our disappointing League defeat at Rochdale, performances have been very good and we've achived some pleasing results.

With the injured lads coming back to fitness, there are options available to me and it's nice to have this kind of selection 'problem'.

We've only conceded once in our last four games, so that shows how well we have done as a team. I felt that we were very well-oranised and defensively strong in our last game on Tuesday and hopefully this can continue at Oldham.

The players have been given a platform on which to perform and it's great to see so many youngsters taking that opportunity. That's what happened to me at 17 years of age and you can learn so much more about them this way.

We prepare to face an Oldham outfit who are a good footballing side. They are on a nine-game unbeaten run and Lee Johnson has developed a good bunch of players there who try to play the game the right way and win football matches.

We know that we will have to be at our best, but we are ready for it. All the lads are recovered from Tuesday and ready for this latest challenge. We're still without Sam Mantom, although I am told that progress is being made, and Tom Bradshaw, whilst Romaine Sawyers is away on International Duty.

Thank you to those fans who made the trip to Spotland in the week. We're looking forward to some more great support at Boundary Park on Saturday.
