O'DONNELL READY FOR FORMER CLUB

27 March 2015

Popular 'keeper pleased with progress...

RICHARD O'Donnell is looking forward to getting back into League action this weekend as we face his former club, Chesterfield.

The popular goalkeeper, who has been an ever-present this term, admits that whilst Wembley was a disappointment performance-wise, the players are determined to finish the season with a flourish.

"We came away from Wembley disappointed," he admitted. "We didn't rise to the occasion and although we started quite brightly, our final ball wasn't good enough.

"There's no time to dwell on it, though, as we face a busy time ahead with nine games and 27 points to play for.

"It all starts on Saturday at Chesterfield. I am looking forward to going back as I still have a lot of friends at the club.

"Hopefully we can bring home the points as we look to finish the season strongly; it's about finding that level of consistency and kicking on up the table.

"We're looking up the table rather than down and know that the chance is there for us to make a strong finish.

"From a personal point of view, I am really pleased with the way I am progressing and to be ever-present so far this season is a big thing for me. It's been a case of working hard and the likes of Cutts [Neil Cutler], the Gaffer and the rest of the backroom staff have been a massive help to me."
