MORRIS DANCING TO DRAGONS TUNE

Wide-man enjoying loan spell...

SADDLERS’ wide-man, Kieron Morris, is enjoying a positive start to his loan spell at Vanarama Conference outfit, Wrexham.

The 20 year-old has been in good form in his first few games, finding himself in the starting line-up last weekend and helping the Welsh outfit beat League leaders, Barnet, with an energetic 70-minute outing.

“I’m pleased with how things have started for me,” he admitted. “I’m enjoying being involved in the action and feel that I have made a positive initial impression.

“It was good to start on Saturday and my aim is to show people what I am capable of. The chance to come here and play regular games was too good to turn down.

“I was happy with the start I made to the season at Walsall; I felt that I did well in pre-season and got a few games under my belt early on, plus my first senior goal.

“I was flying but then some of the injured players started returning to fitness and it was hard for me to get back in because the team was winning games.

“Of course, I want Walsall to be winning matches, but at the same time I want to be in the team, so its difficult being on the sidelines sometimes because you work all week and then there is no game at the end of it.

“I need to get the experience of playing regular games at a good level. I’ve been out on loan before, but this is a step up in standard from that and I have come to a big club at this level with a good fan base and nice facilities.

“It’s a good opportunity for me and I know that the Gaffer will be keeping close tabs on me here, so I want to do well for him, myself and Wrexham.

“I’ve been impressed by what I have seen so far; I knew I was coming into a team with plenty of ability and it’s a good environment for me to progress and develop.

“For me it is about playing games and helping the club move up the table. The challenge to do well excites me.”
