CAIN EXTENDS STAY

17 November 2014

Loan deal extended for Premier League youngster...

THE SADDLERS have extended Michael Cain’s loan stay by a further month, subject to Premier League clearance, following some impressive displays in the engine room of the side by the Leicester City youngster.

The 20 year-old has appeared six times since making his debut at Crawley Town last month.

“It’s been a great experience for me so far and one that I am looking forward to continuing,” said the talented midfield man. “I knew this was a tough League but it’s been a challenge that I have thrived on, to be honest.

“The style of play here suits me down to the ground and I was more than happy to extend my stay.

“The coaching staff and my team-mates have been unbelievable and even though I’ve only been here a month, I feel that I have learned a lot already.

“There is nothing better than being out there and playing games and it’s been a busy schedule, with plenty more games on the horizon.

“We’re still involved in two Cup competitions as well as continuing our climb up the League, so there is plenty to be positive about and I am delighted to be part of it.

“I knew from that first game at Crawley that this team was in a false position and it’s been good to see us gradually move up the table since then.

“Things are progressing well and there are some really talented lads here.

“Hopefully I can continue to play my part over the month ahead.”

Cain will be in the squad for our FA Cup first round replay at Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm), subject to the necessary Premier League clearance being received.
