LOAN WATCH: ROWLEY HANDED FIRST START IN STAFFORD SUCCESS

8 February 2016

Striker helps Rangers go 17 points clear at the top...

LEVI ROWLEY - STAFFORD RANGERS

Young striker Levi Rowley was handed his first start for Stafford Rangers in their 2-1 victory over Newcastle Town.

The 18-year-old played the full 90 minutes and went close to finding the scoresheet with a 25-yard drive which struck the woodwork.

He was also involved in Rangers’ all-important second goal, when he played a precise pass out to Alex Melbourne, who then crossed first-time for Ben Haseley to fire home.

Rowley was making his third loan appearance for his hometown club, having come on as a substitute in his previous two outings.

The victory moved Stafford a commanding 17 points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South.

JORDAN MURPHY & AMADOU BAKAYOKO - WORCESTER CITY

Walsall strikers, Jordan Murphy and Amadou Bakayoko, weren't in action this weekend after Worcester's National League North home match against Alfreton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Carl Heeley's City are 16th in the division, with 31 points from 25 matches - five points clear of the relegation zone.

Their next match is away to mid-table Chorley this weekend.
