Exciting opportunity to join our media team...

WE'RE looking for an ambitious, driven and knowledgeable Club Journalist to join our media team. 

Reporting to the Website & Multimedia Editor, Chief Executive and Club Secretary, the Club Journalist will be expected to assist in content creation across a number of media platforms including match reporting and live blogging.

Job Specification:

 

       -www.saddlers.co.ukSourcing stories and contributing to Official Website –

       -Contributing to the Official Matchday Programme

       -Contributing to Saddlers Player & YouTube as and when required

       -Edit and provide content for Junior Website – www.team-saddlers.co.uk

       -Liaising with and fielding press enquiries

       -Working alongside Website & Multi-Media Editor to maintain and update Social Media Channels

       -Working alongside Website & Multi-Media Editor to promote all aspects of teh football club including but not limited to commercial, conference & events, community, club shop and Saddlers Learning Centre.

       -Contribute to Search Engine Optimisation of all websites, paying particular attention to the Conference & Events section of the business.

       - 

Home Matches

       -Based in the Media Suite from 12 noon, liaise with Matchday Staff for smooth running of press operation

       -Provide regular updates on Twitter and Facebook throughout matchday

       -Produce Team Sheets at 2.00pm for distribution

       -During the game write an ongoing match report for the Official Website which is published at the final whistle, write a Live Blog for Saddlers Wall, which also appears on Twitter

       -Help organise post-match press conferences, interviews

       -Help when required to upload reaction match report and post-match reaction to Official Website

 

Away Matches

       -Provide regular updates on Twitter and Facebook throughout matchday

Salary & Hours

£14,000 per annum

 

37 ½ hours per week, allocated as follows:

 

During the Season:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with an unpaid ½ hour lunch break

Saturday/(or Sunday as required) 11:00 to 19:00 with an unpaid ½ hour lunch break to cover both Home and Away Fixtures.

 

During the Close Season:

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with an unpaid ½ hour lunch break

 

Holidays

20 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays.
