Young midfielder to stay with Pics for a further month...
MIDFIELD man, Jake Heath, has had his loan spell at Rushall Olympic extended by a further month.“It’s very competitive at this level,” admitted the 19 year-old. “I feel that it has been beneficial for me because I’ve had to adapt to a different style and it’s all part of the overall learning experience.
“It’s very much a second-ball game where you don’t get too much time to settle on the ball, so it’s a decent test for me, one that will stand me in good stead.
“The fact that I am getting regular competitive action is good, as is working with Richard Sneekes [Rushall Olympic manager], who has been on hand with some great advice.
“I picked up a slight injury earlier in the season which halted my progress a little, so my aim now is to get a regular run of games under my belt and add a few goals along the way too. The Gaffer has proved that he is prepared to give youth its chance here at Walsall and I want to show him what I can do so that I can step in as and when required.”
