HENRY CALLED UP FOR ENGLAND U19s

25 May 2016

Teenage starlet links up with Young Lions ahead of pre-Euro double header...

RICO Henry has been called up to represent England U19's for their pre-Euro double header in Mexico next month.

The 18-year old will replace Manchester United's Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and link up with his countrymen for the third time in his career having impressed on his international debut back in November.

Henry, the club's Young Player of the Season, cemented his place in the Saddler's senior squad this term, making 44 appearances and scoring on 3 occasions and has again been recognised by U19's Manager Aidy Boothroyd.

The Young Lions face their hosts in two games on 4th and 6th June at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento national training centre just outside Mexico City, as Boothroyd aims to prepare his players for July’s Euro Finals in Germany.

And the head coach has selected a 24-man group for the games as he looks to assess his options for the summer tournament.

The group will meet up at the end of May before making their way to Central America, where they play two games and train until 8 June.

England will face Netherlands, Croatia and France in the group stage of the Euro Finals in July, where they will aim to win the Championship as many of this group did at U17 level two years ago.
