GAME CHANGER

22 April 2015

O'Connor on a crazy night at the County Ground...

CENTRAL defender, James O’Connor, attempted to give his verdict on our 3-3 draw at Swindon.

“It’s hard to put into words,” he admitted. “We defended well but ended up conceding three goals. It was a crazy game with plenty of incident and talking points.

“Games can change on decisions and the first penalty took everyone by surprise. When they got it back to 2-2 we could have crumbled, but we stuck at it.

“It was an entertaining game and a good performance against a decent side who are going for promotion. We were disappointed not to get the win in the end as we looked dangerous throughout.

“We created a lot of chances; we’ve got a great record against the top teams in this League and it shows what we can do.

“We’ve know what we are capable of but at the same time we realise that we have to be more consistent.

“We want to be successful as individuals as well as a team. There are plenty of positives to take from this season, but we can’t rest on our laurels.

“The goals are starting to come for us now and we’re on a bit of a run, so hopefully we can extend our unbeaten run in these final matches of the season.”
