THIS season we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of what is considered to be a seminal promotion for the club as it signalled the end of a downward spiral and start of an upturn in fortunes that saw us go on to enjoy the most successful period in our history.It was a time when the country as a whole was feeling pretty good about itself and the Britpop music scene was at its peak.
We are celebrating this memorable era through the pages of our Matchday Programme this season and our first Family Fun Day of the campaign, at our next home game against Colchester United on Saturday, September 6th, takes on a SaddlerFest theme.
There will be the best of British pop music from the past two decades played in the inflatable Disco Dome, which will be on-site from noon, we’ll also be a Juke Box bouncy castle, giant traditional garden games for you to enjoy, prize competitions, activity tents, including a caricaturist, and entertainment galore, plus no festival is compete without a camper van, which will also double up as a picnic area.
