CHAMBERS DETERMINED TO BOUNCE BACK

20 October 2014

Skipper shares his views...

SKIPPER, Adam Chambers, has given his assessment of our home reverse at the hands of Crewe Alexandra and promised that we will bounce back in the right way at Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.

"It was a very frustrating afternoon," he admitted. "There was not a lot in the game and at the start of the second half it looked as though we were going to push on and get the points.

"It turned out to be one of those days in the end; we know that we have the ability it is just finding that level of consistency that will enable us to really push on.

"We've had a good run of home performances against some of the fancied sides in this League, but on Saturday we just didn't have that edge to allow us to force the issue.

"At times we had good control of the game without doing enough to deserve to win it.

"Yes, there were some key men missing, the likes of Sam Mantom, Paul Downing and Tom Bradshaw, but we've got enough in this squad to be able to cope without them.

"We now head to Crawley on Tuesday determined to bounce back and get the three points; there are a lot of games coming up and it gives us the chance to get that momentum and consistency that we are looking for.

"We're confident in our ability and we'll be ready to go to Crawley and get a result."
