Boss on bouncing back...

WE GO into tonight's game determined to bounce back from Saturday's disappointing home defeat at the hands of Crewe Alexandra.

It was a game that we didn't deserve to lose, but at the same time we didn't do enough to win. Neither 'keeper was seriously tested and it developed into something of a game of chess.

The goal that we conceded was disappointing, but our only focus now is on turning it around and getting back to winning ways. We know that it will be another tough game for us this evening, but we are good at bouncing back and make the trip with a real determination about us.

Paul Downing has overcome the sickness bug that kept him out of Saturday's game and will be available for selection again, whilst it is good to have Michael Cain on board after arrived on a one-month loan from Leicester City.

Michael is a box-to-box player who likes to get forward and is not afraid to get efforts in on goal. He is extremely highly-rated by Leicester and we are delighted to have him here.

Meanwhile Andy Butler has returned to Sheffield United after his loan spell came to an end. We thank him for his efforts over the past month and wish him well.

We need the players to be right at it because we're in a battle now and need to start picking up points. We need to win games, it's a simple as that, and we'll be doing all that we can to secure the three points on offer tonight to take into Saturday's home game with Chesterfield.

I would like to thank those supporters who will be making the trip to Crawley this evening.

DEAN SMITH
