BRADSHAW IS BACK!

24 October 2014

Leading scorer relishing his return...

LEADING scorer, Tom Bradshaw, is looking forward to getting back into action on Saturday after overcoming a hamstring problem that has laid him low since the start of the month.

The summer signing has put in some impressive performances so far this term and has five goals to his name, but has been sidelined since being forced out of the action during the first half of our 1-1 draw with leaders, Bristol City on October 4th.

"I am delighted to be back," he said with the broad smile that has become his trademark around the training ground. "Although it's only been two and-a-half weeks, that is a long time when you are sat in the treatment room!

"It's frustrating being on the sidelines because there is nothing you can do to change the games. You do see things slightly differently from this perspective, but there is no denying that our recent performances have been good, we just need to be more ruthless when we're on top in games.

"The signs are certainly there that things will improve results-wise and hopefully we can get back into winning ways on Saturday.

"We have belief in our home form; we were unfortunate in the last game against Crewe and believe it was just a blip. Our focus now is on Chesterfield and getting the three points that are on offer.

"There has been a very positive mood around the place in the build-up to the game. We have a fully fit squad now and if we do the basics right and keep that belief, we will be okay."
