On-loan midfielder confident of extending unbeaten League run...

ON-LOAN midfielder, Michael Cain, is hopeful that The Saddlers can extend our unbeaten League run to four games on Saturday as we head to Fleetwood Town.

The 19 year-old extended his Banks's Stadium stay by a further month at the start of the week having put in some impressive displays in the heart of the team since his arrival from Leicester City in October.

"After going out of the FA Cup on Tuesday, this is a chance for us to bounce back," he said. "The games are coming thick and fast and it gives us the opportunity to build some momentum and extend our unbeaten run in the League.

"The performances have been there during my time at the club. Yes, we fell below our usual standards in the last game, but if we can reach the levels that we know we are capable of, the results will start to take care of themselves.

"We're looking forward to the challenge that Fleetwood will present to us. When teams come at us, it is better for us because we like to find spaces and areas that we can exploit.

"We certainly have the talent and ability to do that amongst the squad here. I feel that I have settled in really well and am enjoying my football; every game is different and I am learning all the time out there.

"We've played some great football and that really suits me. I'm pleased that my stay has been extended and hopefully I can continue to play my part in the weeks ahead, starting with Fleetwood."

It will be The Saddlers' first-ever League encounter with Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
