BRANDY ENJOYING LIFE

Loanee slotting in well...

FEBIAN Brandy is enjoying life back at Banks's Stadium after making his return on loan from Sheffield United at the start of this week.

"It's good to be back," he said with a smile. "The lads have been great and made me feel so welcome.

"There's a good group here and the team spirit is one of the main reasons why we have been so successful.

"I've kept in touch with the lads since I left during the summer and they were all keen for me to come back, so it's been easy to slot back into things.

"It's nice to feel wanted. There were a few loan offers on the table for me, but once I knew of Walsall's interest, there was only one place that I was going to come to.

"It's good to see that the team has been doing well without me, but hopefully I can add something. I've not really played since October, so I was a bit shocked to go straight into the starting line-up on Tuesday, to be honest.

"I'm still a few weeks off in terms of match fitness, but that will come with games and then I can really start performing.

"Saturday's game against Brentford will be a good one. It will benefit us if they come out and play football, which I expect them to do.

"They have been on a great run, and all credit to them for that, but we will go into the game full of confidence and determination.

"I'm not looking too far ahead right now. At the moment I am concentrated 100% on doing well for Walsall and then we will see what happens."
