SADDLERS’ boss, Dean Smith, has assessed our latest away win as we ran out 2-0 winners at Colchester.
“We weren’t at our fluid best,” he admitted. “That said, it was a very professional performance and a deserved victory in the end.
“We know that we’ve played better than this and lost, but once we got going and settled, we took over the game.
“There were times when we could have done better in possession, but we scored a couple of good goal, kept a clean sheet and it’s nice to be back on the winning trail.
“We didn’t start the game particularly well and Richard O’Donnell had to make a couple of decent early saves. It was an afternoon where we showed character and determination to bring home the points.”
