BOOST AS BRADSHAW AGREES CONTRACT EXTENSION

Popular front-man extends deal...

THE SADDLERS have been handed a boost with the news that popular front-man, Tom Bradshaw, has agreed to extend his current deal with the club by a further year, taking him to the summer of 2017.

The 22 year-old arrived at Banks’s Stadium 12 months ago from Shrewsbury Town and went on to score 20 goals from 37 outings during the course of a campaign which also saw him suffer at the hands of a niggling hamstring problem.

“I’m over the moon to sign this extension,” said the Wales Under-21 International. “It was a great year for me personally last season and there is no reason why, as a team, we can’t be challenging for the play-offs this time around.

“I’m full of optimism and can’t wait to get started again. We showed against the big teams last season that we can really thrive at this level.

“For me to miss around 20 games last season through injury but still hit 20 goals was a brilliant milestone, but I realise that I have to do it on a consistent basis and I will be striving to reach those heights again.

“I’ve got every faith that we will be up there challenging at the right end of the table; it’s all about finding that level of consistency and being able to hit the ground running.

“I am hungry to get more goals.”
