ADAM Chambers led The Saddlers out on Wednesday evening for the first time since officially being appointed captain earlier this week.Manager, Dean Smith, admits that whilst there were a number of worthy candidates, the experienced midfield man has all the right credentials for the job.
"It was a tough decision because we've got some great leaders out there," said Smith. "But I have known Adam for a long time and he knows exactly what I want and expect.
"He leads by example and is as good a professional as you will find. He commands so much respect within the dressing room and I know that he will be an excellent captain for us as we go into the new season."
