John Ward will take charge of the Saddlers this evening as we make the short trip to Coles Lane in the second round of the Walsall Senior Cup (7.45pm kick-off).The Saddlers eased past Tividale (8-0) in the opening fixture of the competition and will now travel Romulus who currently occupy ninth position in the Northern Premier First Division South.
Andy Turner’s men enjoyed a blistering start to the campaign, winning their opening five games in all competitions. However, the Sutton Coldfield based side have struggled for consistency of late having won 5 and lost 6 of their last 12 games.
The Roms secured a safe passage into the second round of the Walsall Senior Cup with a 2-0 victory over Wednesfield back in October.
