A centre-half, Roger scored one goal in 106 appearances for the Saddlers between 1975 and 1978.
The Scottish defender also played for Rangers, Crystal Palace, Oxford and Birmingham, where he won promotion from the Second Division in 1972.
He went on to manage Motherwell and also had a caretaker spell with St Johnstone.
