JACKSON CALLED UP FOR CANADA FRIENDLIES

29 September 2016

Walsall striker to link up for Moroccan double-header...

Saddlers striker, Simeon Jackson, has been called up for Canada's forthcoming friendlies with Mauritania (7th October) and Morocco (11th October).

The double-header will be played in Marrakech, Morocco with the Canuck's training camp beginning on 2nd October.

The experienced number nine will be looking to add to his 47 international appearances and 6 goals since his first call up back in May 2009 and has been granted permission to link up with his fellow countrymen ahead of the trip.

Jackson joins Liam Kinsella (Republic of Ireland u21), Andreas Makris (Cyprus) and Maziar Kouhyar (Afghanistan) on international duty whilst Kevin Toner (Republic of Ireland u21) has been placed on standby.

As a result, our League One fixture with Sheffield United, scheduled for 8th October, has been postponed. A rearranged date will be announced in due course.
