Our Development Squad are in action against Morecambe at Birmingham County FA’s Ray Hall Lane this afternoon, kick-off 2.00pm.John Ward’s team ran out 5-0 winners at the Globe Arena in the reverse fixture two weeks ago, and are currently on a 12-match winning streak in all competitions.
This includes a seven-match winning run in the league, continued last Wednesday when Andreas Makris’ expertly-taken volley sealed a 1-0 win against Bradford City.
The Saddlers are currently top of the Development League’s North West Division, and face second-placed Port Vale in their final league game on 8th March.
The development side have also carried their form into the cup, progressing to the semi-final stage of the Walsall and Birmingham Senior Cup competitions.
