A look back on our 2015/16 campaign...
FEBRUARYWalsall’s automatic promotion bid threatened to unravel after a disappointing February.
The month started positively with a 2-1 success at Doncaster, although that was followed by a 3-0 home defeat by high-flying Millwall and a 1-1 draw at relegation-haunted Crewe.
Our top-two aspirations suffered a further setback with a last-gasp 2-1 loss to title-favourites Wigan, while a goalless draw at promotion-rivals Burton saw Walsall end the month in fourth place.

MARCH
The Saddlers parted company with head coach Sean O’Driscoll after our disappointing form continued into the start of March.
A 3-1 home defeat by Barnsley – four days after a goalless draw with Scunthorpe – proved the final straw.
Jon Whitney was appointed interim head coach and made an instant impact – winning his first three matches to reignite Walsall’s promotion hopes.
Chesterfield were thrashed 4-1 in his maiden game – our first win in seven – with Sam Mantom scoring twice.
We then beat Fleetwood 1-0 before late goals from Tom Bradshaw and Matt Preston clinched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Colchester to leave us third in the division.
