THE SADDLERS travel to Scunthorpe United on Saturday for our penultimate away League game of the season (kick-off 3.00pm).
Manager, Dean Smith, is sweating on the fitness of skipper and former Scunthorpe man, Andy Butler, who suffered a foot injury in last weekend's draw with Sheffield United. He is rated at 50/50 at this stage.
Full-back, Andy Taylor, is expected to miss out after he was forced to leave the field with a hamstring problem in the last game. James Chambers, who is well again after a sickness bug ruled him out of the last game, and youngster, Mal Benning stand by to step into the starting line-up.
The news regarding leading scorer, Will Grigg, is better as he trained on Thursday and is set to return to action having seen a hamstring problem halt his recent progress.
On-loan goalkeeper, Sam Johnstone will line up against the team that he served on a temporary basis last season.
Scunthorpe United go into the game in the fourth and final relegation place. They are level on points with Oldham Athletic who are just above them but The Latics have a game in hand.
They have won six of their 21 home League games, including a 2-1 success over Leyton Orient in their last game on home soil on Good Friday.
Skipper, Paul Reid could return having suffered a back injury on Good Friday, whilst Callum Kennedy and Connor Jennings remained sidelined.
Goalkeeper, Sam Slocombe (thigh) remains out but Eddie Nolan is set for a return to action following a hamstring injury.
