HISTORY IN THE MAKING

THERE will be history in the making on Saturday when Crawley Town make their first-ever visit to Walsall.

Saddlers' boss, Dean Smith has a fully fit squad to choose from after Richard Taundry returned to action for the reserves in midweek.

In-form front-man, Will Grigg, notched his 18th goal of the season in the victory over Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday as he looks to become the first Saddlers' player to score 20 in a season since Jorge Leitao in 2001.

Meanwhile Craig Westcarr will be keen to add to his wonder-strike in the last game.

Youngster, Kieron Morris has joined Worcester City on loan, whilst striker, Aaron Williams has gone to AFC Telford United on a similar deal.

Crawley Town go into the game in 12th place in the table with eight wins from 18 away League games.

They have adapted well to life in League One following their promotion at the end of last term.

Manager, Richie Barker, will be without skipper, Josh Simpson who has an ankle injury and Kyle McFadzean who is laid low with a virus.

Saturday's game will see the return of the ever-reliable Mat Sadler, who performed so well for us last season.

The Red Devils go into the game with just one defeat in their last seven matches. They have drawn their last three games in a row, including coming from two goals down to draw at high-flying Yeovil Town on Tuesday.

We shared the spoils in the away game back in November as Febian Brandy scored his first goal of the season and Ashley Hemmings go the other in a 2-2 draw.
